Working in Sweden

The Business Sweden headquarter is located in Stockholm and we are approximately 80 people working in different supporting areas, including Strategy & Business Development, Public Affairs and Corporate Communication, Human Resources, Finance and the Government Assignment. The governmental assignment includs Invest, Regional Advisors, Trade facilitation and Market Intelligence.

INVEST

The Invest team is working in a qualified process to promote investments in segments where Sweden has a competitive edge. 10 staff based in Sweden, with long standing industry background is heading multimarket projects with some 20 staff in key markets abroad involved. Activities cover both information and advice on all aspects of investing in Sweden and specific support directed towards individual foreign investors

Our sector specialists working with international companies looking to invest in or collaborate with Swedish companies have long industry experience from leading positions in international business environments.

Your background: 

We are looking for individuals with long standing industry experience acquired from line management or business developments positions preferably in multinational companies. Alternatively, your background is from management consulting or financial service provider. You should have the background and experience from managing complex projects in an international environment. Experience from a public agency or assignment focusing on investment, industry development, internationalization is highly meriting. You have an understanding of investment/business co-operation transactions as concerns methods, structures and players in the industry. To be able to function in your role, we think that your work experience is +15 years.

INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS ADVISORs

The International Business Advisor team is working in different qualified processes to assist Swedish companies to grow internationally. The team consists of 22 staff based in different regions in Sweden, with long standing industry background and extensive experience when it comes to business development and internationalization in a company. The IBA team works with a qualified process called “Steps To Export” to prepare the company for the challenges when going internationally with production, products or services. In these processes we work closely with our offices around the world. We also work with coaching of companies, “Green houses”; a special services working with a group of companies over more than 2 years. and services when it comes to Seminars and other events.

Your background:

You have work experience within international business development and complex sales from industry, consulting or financial service provider. Positions as CEO or Export Manager is highly meriting. You have a background from and understanding of structure of Swedish industry and the Swedish society, new trends on the market and players in the Swedish market. Experience of establishment of international operations at foreign markets is highly meriting as well as international context including responsibilities of establishing operations at foreign markets.

Trade facilitation & Market Intelligence

Trade Procedures & Market Intelligence (TMI) provides expertise and advice within trade facilitation, export information and invest information. The unit also manages sector specific programs, i.e. Food, Life Science, Environmental technology.

Or trade facilitation experts have unique expertise within areas such as shipping and logistics, customs, free trade rules, delivery terms, payments and financing, e-commerce i.e. issues related to the practical aspects of the export process etc. All areas are critical for successful international expansion.

Your background:

Trade facilitation: You have practical experience within international trade and are familiar with the practical issues that arise from exports and internationalization. You have experience in customs and free trade issues (rules of origin). You have at least 3 years of experience in managing projects or subprojects.

Market intelligence (trade and invest): You are experienced from working with information search and analysis. You are very well acquainted in using different search tools and techniques, various databases as well as the Internet. Experience from internationalization matters and international market information is valuable.
