Swedish Sustainable Business in Kenya

Swedish Sustainable Business - Long Term Comittment to Kenya is a local CSR initiative in Kenya but also part of Business Sweden's global CSR framework Swedish Sustainable Business.

Swedish Sustainable Business - Long Term Commitment to Kenya is a Swedish CSR initiative developed by the Business Sweden in cooperation with the Embassy of Sweden and a steering group of the regional presidents of Scania, Ericsson, Tetra Pak and the Basecamp Explorer and Save the Children's Representative in Kenya. The aim of the initiative is to develop a CSR framework which will constitute a platform for working with CSR through a collaborative approach between organizations and by doing so bring benefits to both Swedish businesses and the Kenyan society.

The CSR framework is an important initiative which provides an avenue where Swedish organizations that have a strong interest in CSR can meet and through joint efforts achieve more than they could individually. In addition, the framework facilitates for organizations new to CSR to engage in such work. The framework intends to strengthen the “Swedish brand” on foreign markets and to function as a platform where exchange of knowledge, experience and best practice on CSR can take place. As a member to the CSR framework Swedish related organizations can jointly strengthen their efforts on CSR and at the same time increase the visibility and exposure of their organizations.
