UN Nordic Procurement Seminar is arranged for Nordic companies every second year in the United Nations building in Copenhagen. The seminar is arranged in collaboration between export promotion organizations and embassies of Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland. The seminar is a platform for Nordic companies and UN agencies to meet and initiate contacts for potential partnerships and collaborations. Furthermore, it is an opportunity for Nordic companies to get an understanding of the UN’s procurement processes.

UN Nordic Procurement Seminar has hosted about 300 participants from approximately 160 companies and 25 representatives from UN organizations such as UNDP, UN/PD, UNICEF, UNOPS, UNHCR, UNFPA, UNRWA, WHO, PAHO and UNEP. Other organizations such as the World Bank, the IMF and the IFRC have also attended, making the workshop the largest in UN procurement in the Nordics.

The seminar includes informative presentations, best practice panels, workshops together with UNGM, one-to-one meetings with UN staff as well as networking dinners and receptions. The activities enable great opportunities to establish new relationships and collaborations with UN representatives, and other Nordic companies that deliver to the UN and NGOs.

The initiative is arranged by Business Sweden in Copenhagen in close cooperation with the UN City Copenhagen, Danish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Dansk Industri, Innovation Norway, Promote Iceland and Business Finland

The seminar is an appreciated and popular event where companies have the opportunity to learn more about the UN’s procurement processes and establish valuable contacts with both UN organizations and other Nordic companies for future cooperation.

The seminar is suitable both for companies who wish to learn more about the UN system and for more experienced companies with the aim to develop their network within the United Nations.
