Since 2012, the Portuguese economy has taken on several structural reforms to improve the situation on the market, which has led to an increase of Portuguese exports and investments. The reforms aim at both deregulation and privatization. Reforms such as tax breaks for investors and simplified public administration of entry barriers to improve the investment climate are expected to improve the economic climate in Portugal. The economy grew by 2.7% in 2017 and the OECD predicts growth to remain above 2% in 2018 and 2019.
Portuguese culture is somewhat bureaucratic, where hierarchy is important, and business culture is in many sectors highly relationship-based. Thanks to our well-established presence in Portugal, extensive experience of Portuguese economy and business sector, we can support Swedish companies in identifying business opportunities in Portugal and successful establishment through market analysis, partner establishment, as well as administrative and operational partnerships. We have strong relationships and extended networks, primarily within ICT, Health Care & Life Sciences, Energy and Textile/Apparel sectors, which mean we enable business partnerships and knowledge exchanges.
