Business Sweden in Lithuania

an image
Trade relations between Sweden and Lithuania have been on the rise over the years and today Sweden are the main foreign investor in the country.

Relations are considered very good and has been that way since Lithuania’s border opened up after its liberation. Sweden played an active role in facilitating the liberation movement and offered a place to meet and organise. Sweden stands for the most foreign direct investments in the country, but yet the potential for business is still untapped. Swedes are generally feeling welcomed in Lithuania with no severe cultural clashes.

The Baltic marketplace with its 6.6 million people is also of interest for Swedish retailers and Sweden as a brand is well-known, a fact that encourage cooperation with Baltic partners.

The similar business climate, cost-efficiency and a growing middle class in combination with good linguistic capabilities, the Baltics constitute an attractive marketplace, for both production and consumer-focused companies.
