France is the world’s fifth largest economy and Europe’s second biggest market with 65 million consumers.

With its central position in Europe, well-developed infrastructure and attractive establishment opportunities a lot of foreign investors are attracted to invest in France. The country is investing heavily in high-technology and the amount of highly competent employees is large.

Swedish exports to France have increased in recent years and Swedish companies are well esteemed in France. With 4.5 percent of Sweden’s total export, the country is our ninth largest export market (SCB). More than 400 Swedish subsidiaries and a total of around 1 000 establishments means that Sweden is gaining ground in France. Companies like IKEA, Volvo Trucks, H&M and Securitas has been established in France since long ago, and the country is a strategic hub in Europe.
