The CzechTechnology University is one of the world's oldest universities and approximately one-third of all students enrolled in tertiary education are studying economics, finance or IT. The level of general education is high and the main focus lies within science and engineering disciplines. The technical education in the Czech Republic enjoys a good reputation and a long tradition. According to the latest Eurobarometer, 80 % of Czechs speaks a foreign language (mainly English or German). The access to technical engineers is good and the labor costs are substantially lower than in other European countries. The average salary amounts to roughly SEK 10 000 gross, which is 40 % to 60 % of the labor costs in Germany or Western Europe. In other word, the Czech Republic make up a perfect location for both manufacturing and R&D.

The Czech Republic has one of the most advanced transportation systems in the world. The country is well-known for its infrastructure and it is ranked on third place in the world in terms of road and railroad density. The importance of Czech Republic as a central hub has increased since the country joined the EU and the Single market, with a possibility to reach a population of 502 million people and 20 million enterprises.
