Brazil is one of the countries with the largest availability of water resources in the world. However, most of them are located in the scarcely populated North whilst majority of the population lives in the Southeast and Northeaster regions of the country. Increasingly tougher regulations raise concern about conscious use and recycling of water. For this reason, industry and public authorities are investing in technology for water treatment and reuse.

In January and February 2014, Business Sweden developed a market analysis based on a scope determined by a reference group of four Swedish companies, all suppliers of technology for the waste water segment and with interest in the Brazilian market.

The scope included key issues such as analysis of public sector´s decision making process, mapping of opportunities within three industrial sectors; steel, pulp & paper and food & beverages, analysis of regulatory requirement, current trends, drivers and mapping of market´s key players.

On the sub-menus on your left you will find some findings from the report. Also, more information will be available in April of 2014.

In the meantime, do not hesitate to contact Elsa Stefenson (elsa.stefenson@business-sweden.se) for more information.
