Valuable administrative support
ContextVision already has good coverage in Europe, the US and parts of Asia, and therefore invests in major emerging markets such as China and Russia. In Korea and Russia, ContextVision has set up offices using Business Sweden's service Business Support Office. Business Sweden is also an administrative support for their export efforts.
"Doing business in Europe does not mean any additional administrative job for us. But in Russia and the surrounding region, some additional administrative tasks are added. For example, Business Sweden helps us with visa applications, trade fairs, contracts and payments", says Markus Norén, Regional Sales Manager for Europe at ContextVision.
Good business opportunities in Russia
ContextVision started their cooperation with Business Sweden's office in St. Petersburg through the Business Opportunity project. Subsequently, the cooperation continued with a focus on sales and marketing support. As a result, ContextVision currently has about ten customers in Russia and Ukraine.
“ContextVision has a suitable product for Russia. The image-equipment used here needs to be upgraded. This means that the business opportunities for ContextVision are good, while the effort does not entail such high investment costs" says Ekaterina Pravdina, project manager at Business Sweden in Moscow.
Come a long way
During 2017, Business Sweden and ContextVision will intensify the sales efforts in Russia and Ukraine. The goal is to get more and bigger customers.
"We see that there is potential in Russia and our efforts has come a long way. There are some major companies we are trying to acquire as customers and together we actively work to get even more momentum on sales”, says Markus Norén, Regional Sales Manager for Europe at ContextVision.
