HemoCue develops and manufactures medical devices that today exist in more than 130 countries. The company focuses on user-friendly products including measuring the hemoglobin and glucose level of the patient. Test results are delivered immediately and are as accurate as the analyses from a medical lab.

Since less than three years, HemoCue also operates in India with 45 employees today. As the majority of the revenues come from a publicly-funded health care program, it is crucial that politicians and policy-makers are familiar with their products. Business Sweden has been instrumental in this support.

The focus of the collaboration with Business Sweden has therefore been to identify and meet key decision-makers. After several meetings and participation in various conferences, seminars and events, the awareness of HemoCue’s products has increased significantly. HemoCue has now been asked to submit business proposals to several potential customers.
– It has been a great challenge to arrange meetings at government level, but we finally succeeded and managed to meet the right decision-makers, says Anjali Bohla, consultant at the Business Sweden office in New Dehli.
