Life Science Opportunities in North & West Africa

The different life science segments in the highlighted Northern and Western African countries still suffer from considerable flaws due to technical incompetency or a poor allocation of funds. Indeed, the weak infrastructure and insufficient funds have led to underdeveloped healthcare systems where secondary care services are still poorly attributed in most countries. In some cases, even primary day-to-day interventions are inexistent or unevenly distributed.

Supported by the World Bank, European Union and other foreign funds, our focus countries (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria and Ghana) have been engaging in several governmental plans and reforms to improve their healthcare systems within the mid-term period.

In this context, the Swedish expertise and technologies can come into play within the different segments of the life science and healthcare sector.
