Elements for success in Southeast Asia

Swedish companies have every reason to explore business opportunities in Southeast Asia, including the so-called "tiger cub economies" of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

Southeast Asia is home to more than 650 million people. Driven by the region's rapid economic development, it is expected that more than 60% of the population will be classified as middle class by 2020.

Swedish companies have a lot to offer the emerging middle class in key areas such as industry automation and infrastructure development. In recent years, however, the main focus for many Swedish businesses in Asia has been oriented specifically towards China and India.
