New regulation on labelling - Chestny Znak 2019

In December 2017 Russian President V. Putin approved the creation of the Unified System of Full Marking and Traceability of Goods based on the Center for Research in Perspective Technologies (CRPT). CRPT developed track & trace system known as Chestny ZNAK. Federal law No. 487 on new labelling regulation became effective on January 1, 2019 and by 2024 Chestny ZNAK system will cover all industries, from cigarettes and medications to clothing and child nutrition.

Swedish companies which import goods to Russia need to know about this new labelling regulation to avoid fines and negative situations when the goods are held up by customs or even confiscated.
