Export Managers’ Index (EMI) rose to 55.5 in the fourth quarter, from 53.9 in the last quarter. The EMI is above the 50 mark, which indicates that companies have a positive outlook for exports.

EMI increased by 5.5 points to 53.6 from 48.1 in the previous quarter. The current level, which is above 50, indicates that the more pessimistic view among companies in the last survey was temporary. EMI forecast (evaluating the companies’ expectations on the future) on the other hand fell by 2.3 points to 57.5. In a historical perspective, however, the index for the prognosis remains high.
