Namibia - sweden business forum

Business Forum will take place in connection with the Namibia-Sweden Bilateral Working Group 2019. Swedish Companies and organizations doing business or interested in engaging in Namibia are cordially invited to attend. The Namibia-Sweden Bilateral Working Group 2019 aims at discussing the relationship between the two countries in a broad sense with particular focus on trade and investments. The high-level incoming delegation from Namibia will take part in the Business Forum.

The Namibia-Sweden Bilateral Working Group is a Government to Government meeting that takes place every two years. This year the meeting will be hosted in Stockholm, by Ms Annika Söder, State secretary for Foreign Affairs. The Namibian delegation will be headed by Hon. Ms Lucia Iipumbu, Deputy minister of the Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and SME Development. The delegates from Namibia will include representatives from the following government entities:

  • Ministry of Industrialization Trade and SME Development
  • National Planning Commission
  • Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation
  • Ministry of Higher Education, Training and Innovation
  • Ministry of Health and Social Services
  • City of Windhoek, Smart Cities and Transports
  • National Planning Commission
  • Ministry of Works and Transports
  • Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry
  • Walvis Bay Corridor Group
