Explore growth opportunities within the Asian food market

Please join us in a session where we will provide you with an overview of the Hong Kong food market and how to utilize Hong Kong as a gateway to enter the APAC market.

APAC accommodates more than half of the world’s population and the rapid economic growth leads to millions of people lifted out of poverty and transits to the middle-class, which drives the pursue of higher-valued food products and imported products.

Hong Kong is a springboard for entering the APAC and Chinese food and beverage (F&B) market. As an experienced trading and exporting hub, many of the food buyers make purchasing decision in Hong Kong. 1/3 of Hong Kong imported food are re-exported to the neighbouring countries and enter other APAC markets.

With no tax* and straight-forward import regulation on F&B products, Hong Kong has a low market entry barrier for Swedish companies to enter the Hong Kong market.

Carrie Chan, project manager and food representative in Hong Kong, will fly to Sweden and give out the presentation including the following topics:

  • Market overviews featuring information on market size, growth drivers and trends, import regulation
  • Insights sharing of Business Sweden’s experience supporting Swedish F&B companies in the local market
  • Opportunities for Swedish F&B companies
