07 Oct - 08 Oct South Korea

Road safety delegation to South Korea in October

On October 7-8, Business Sweden in cooperation with the Swedish Embassy in Seoul will arrange a delegation to South Korea with the aim of further strengthening cooperation within Road Safety between Sweden and South Korea.

With among the highest number of fatality and serious injuries in the OECD countries, South Korea is dedicating large efforts to create safer traffic solutions. The Korean government is allocating huge resources to reach its goal of lowering the road fatalities with more than 40% until 2016. Swedish companies and initiatives within road safety, such as the Vision Zero program, are leading practices globally and have a high influence in South Korea.

The recently signed MoUs between VTI and KOTSA (Korea Transport Safety Authority) and KOTI (Korea Transport Institute) has expanded the relationship and cooperation within road safety between Sweden and Korea. This further increases the recognition of the Swedish brand within road safety on the South Korean market.

In order to capture the business opportunities and to promote Swedish businesses in South RoadKorea, Business Sweden and the Swedish Embassy in Seoul are arranging a delegation to South Korea on the 7-8th of October.

Tentative program overview
The two-day delegation will have a strong business focus and promote Swedish road safety solutions within areas such as vehicle technology, infrastructure, education and enforcement. The high-level setting of the delegation will further increase the exposure and gain access to key industry players. This is a unique occasion to promote your business and contribute to safer roads in South Korea.
