Seminars about current business opportunities within the United Nation in Africa. Learn how your company can become a successful supplier to the United Nations!
Business Sweden invites your company to a business seminar on UN Procurement in East and Central Africa.
The UN regional procurement hubs in Kenya and Uganda are the largest UN procurement hubs in Africa. These two hubs annually procure products and services in most sectors for the UN missions in East and Central Africa for over 4 billion SEK. However Swedish companies currently capture a very limited share of the UN procurement, 0.13%, which is significantly lower than for example our Danish neighbors currently taking 3.0% of total UN procurement.
Despite low participation so far Sweden has some success cases, with key lessons learned, and we see a great opportunity for Swedish companies to increase this share through increased knowledge, focus and marketing versus UN. Particularly interesting opportunities have been identified within Water and Sanitation, Transport solutions, Health, Relief materials, Construction Equipment, Food items and Information and Communication Technology.
It is now time for Swedish companies to benefit from the experience, contacts and reputation that Sweden has with the United Nations. This seminar will be a unique opportunity to get practical tips on how to win business with the UN, e.g., what different type of procurements are done, who should you target with your marketing and where, how do you sell, how does UN evaluate projects, as well as information on upcoming projects and business opportunities in the region, where we believe Swedish technologies and knowledge would be competitive.
We recommend this seminar to everyone that want to learn about new business opportunities with an, until now, fairly unknown customer, the UN.
The seminar is free of charge.
We look forward to seeing you these dates:
