Opportunities within the Romanian Wood & Furniture Industry

The wood and furniture industry is one of the strongest export sectors in Romania and plays an important part in the Romanian economy. More than 25 % of the country’s area is covered with forests and the furniture industry ranks sixth among the Romanian manufacturing industries.

Business Sweden and The Swedish Embassy in Bucharest, together with The Romanian Furniture Club Association (ACRM) and the PRO WOOD Cluster are planning a match-making event presenting prospects within the wood and furniture industry, a sector that offers good opportunities for Swedish companies. We are planning visits and business meetings with members of a wood & furniture cluster in Transylvania this fall, tentatively in week 43.
