Seminar and meetings with leading Dutch retailers and mobile operators

An opportunity for Swedish companies engaged in eCommerce and mCommerce to meet leading actors and potential customers among retailers, mobile operators, and others, in the Netherlands.

On the 4th of June 2013, Business Sweden will together with the Swedish Embassy in the Netherlands organise a seminar and B2B meetings with leading Dutch retailers and mobile operators, among others, in the Netherlands.

The Netherlands ranks as one of the highest digitally connected countries in the world with the highest broadband penetration level in Europe. In January 2012, the penetration rate of fixed broadband was 40.6% of the population, to be compared with the EU average of 27.7%.

90% of the population use internet at least once per week, the EU average is 68%. The use of eCommerce is very high, with 69% of the population buying online. Internet retail value per capita reached 228.5 EUR in 2012.

Also the Dutch mCommerce market is increasing, showing the highest growth rate in Europe. Price comparisons and information gathering about products through the mobile phone are increasing, and the Dutch consumers are expected to buy online more frequently using mobile phones than computers over the upcoming years.

Creative e-nnovations by Sweden” is an opportunity for Dutch companies to learn about Swedish innovative technical solutions for the digital society, and for participating Swedish companies to meet with leading Dutch companies in the sector to evaluate potential business opportunities.
