With a population of about 200 million and a health care expenditure of 8.9% of GDP the Brazilian health care market ranks number one in Latin America and third in Americas. Government´s commitment and support to improve health care services, growing middle-class, and rapidly ageing population are some factors why Brazil´s spending on health care reached USD 210 billion in 2012 and why the market has grown at a fast pace the last decade. The market is expected to grow by USD 19.8 billion between 2011 and 2015 at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 12.6%. Given the positive long-term economic outlook for the country the health care sector in Brazil will continue to show strong growth and offer foreign investors significant revenue-generating opportunities.
The delegation will focus on promoting Swedish health care products and services by acting as a door opener and giving companies an understanding of business opportunities, as well as the occasion to meet with key players on the market. The overall theme for the Business delegation will be Future Health Care, Future Hospital and Elderly Care. You will be given the opportunity to visit two strategic important cities in Latin America; São Paulo and Brasília. Through a mix of meetings with key stakeholders such as the Brazilian Health Surveillance Agency, Anvisa and other high-level representatives and professionals on national and local levels, Swedish companies will have the chance to present their solutions and build a foundation for future business with Latin American actors from both public and private sector.
