Bo Kragh joined Svenska Handelsbanken in 1972. He served as its Moscow Representative from 1974 to 1977. In the early 1990’s he was seconded by his bank as advisor to four Prime Ministers in Estonia and Latvia and as Vice Governor of Bank of Estonia. Today, working in Stockholm, he covers North Africa, the Middle East, Russia, Ukraine and the C.I.S. for Svenska Handelsbanken.
Erik Barenthein, AVTOVAZ
Mr. Barenthein is Director for Corporate and Purchasing development at AVTOVAZ, Russia’s largest automobile manufacturer and producer of four brands. Prior to joining AVTOVAZ Mr. Barenthein played a key role in the successful turnaround of GAZ, Russia’s leading manufacturer of commercial vehicles, where he served as executive support to the CEO and transformed the entire purchasing organization. Mr. Barenthein began his career as an engineer in the defense industry after which he worked several years as a management consultant for McKinsey and Applied Value, both in Europe and USA. In addition Mr. Barenthein has a background as Olympian skier, holds a MBA from Columbia Business School and is currently vice-Consul of the Honorary Consulate of the Kingdom of Sweden for Volga Federal District.
Mantas Zalatorius, Business Sweden
Vice President and Head of Region Central and Eastern Europe at Business Sweden. Mantas has actively supported more than 500 Swedish companies in establishing their business and organising activities in Eastern Europe, focusing on the Baltic States and Russia. He has been involved in almost all major acquisitions and privatisation projects for Swedish banks, telecom operators and media holdings. During the last 20 years he also played a significant role in successfully developing business relations between Sweden and Eastern Europe.
Veronika Bard-Bringeus, The Ambassador of Sweden in Moscow, Russia
Ambassador Veronika Bard Bringéus is since 2012 Swedish Ambassador to Russia. Prior to that she was posted in Vienna, the OS CE-delegation. She has also among all worked as Deputy Head of the Embassy of Sweden in Vienna, Secretary General at the Stockholm International Forum. Veronika served as the foreign policy advisor at the Prime Minister’s Office.
