Sustainability and Smart Airport
The 13th Five Year Plan (2016-2020) is considered the booming era for Chinese civil aviation industry, which also brings challenges such as busier air traffic, more pollution, demanding requests towards the service level and so on. Rather than simply trying to change the way existing infrastructure, China has an opportunity to take advantage of the most innovative technologies available.
With China’s aviation industry growing rapidly, the potential impact on the environment is becoming bigger. The government is now developing a guideline for green airport development in order to mitigate the environmental impact, starting from the location and design, as well as airport operations, which shows great opportunities for Swedish eco-airport solutions providers.
