Swedish-Icelandic business delegation within geothermal energy to Indonesia

As part of the Swedish-Icelandic cooperation within geothermal energy a business delegation to Indonesia will be arranged 24 – 26 March 2015.

Indonesia is the world's fourth largest country and has emerged as the next big growth market. The country has in recent years enjoyed strong economic growth and has managed the financial crisis relatively well. There is a political willingness to act on the environmental challenges facing the country and Indonesia is demanding several solutions within renewable energy- and environmental technology. As Indonesia is estimated to have the world's largest reserves of geothermal energy within their borders it is one of the identified solutions that the country wants to invest in. Today, only slightly less than 5% of the potential is utilized but Indonesia is planning to become a world leading producer and targets to increase production capacity by 10% annually until 2035.

As a participant in the delegation, you will receive:

  • An introduction to the Indonesian energy sector with focus on renewable and geothermal energy
  • Visits to relevant operators of interesting projects
  • At least three meetings with local stakeholders with the opportunity for new contacts and an insight into the Indonesian geothermal market
  • Visit to one of Indonesia's most prominent geothermal energy projects

In order for us to set an optimal program with customized meetings and manage other requests we would like to get your company's registration as soon as possible.
