Delegation: Vietnam goes digital - capture growth within mobile media

Business Sweden together with Ericsson and the Embassy of Sweden in Hanoi invite you to participate in a business delegation to Vietnam, November 26-28.

Numerous opportunities to present your solutions to decision makers

You will meet Ericsson, Vietnamese ICT/mobile/media companies, government officials/policy makers and other important stakeholders in the market. This is a highly tangible opportunity to meet buyers and decision makers within the ICT sector. It’s also an enabler to sales in other ASEAN markets.

Take part of ASEANs largest market in terms of internet users

  • High growth potential since 60% of the population (90 million) is under the age of 35

  • Telecom operators are currently expanding wireless broadband network infrastructures

  • In 2013, the number of mobile cellular subscriptions was 120 million which is 30 million more than the country’s total populations. The lower service fee and cheap mobile deals encourage having 2 or more SIM cards.

  • There is one smartphone user per four citizens and smartphones contribute to about 77% of the total revenue of the market. This figure is estimated to rise to 82% in 2015.

  • The time of using devices with a screen in Vietnam are eight hours per day, higher than the global average of seven hours. Smartphones and laptops are the most preferred devices.

  • Vietnam is also a strong ICT outsourcing destination

Innovative Sweden weeks

This delegation will be part of the “Innovative Sweden” weeks in Ho Chi Minh City 2014 (10th of November to 30th of November 2014), celebrating 45 years of diplomatic relations between Sweden and Vietnam. Sweden is the only western country with that long relation with Vietnam.
