The U.S mobile tech market - Breakfast seminar with mobile heights

Business Sweden, in collaboration with Mobile Heights, cordially invites you to a seminar on the U.S. mobile application market, held in Lund at Mobile Heights Center.

Americans are spending more time and money on their smartphones. In the U.S., smartphone penetration is currently at 75% and is projected to climb to 81% by the end of this year, making it one of the highest rates in the world. As smartphone use has spread, Americans have grown ever hungrier for apps. The U.S. is one the world’s “app store superpowers,” along with Japan and South Korea, leading the world in revenue from the App Store and coming in second in Google Play revenue. Apps make up eighty-six percent of the time people spend on their smartphones making use of their internet capabilities. One segment offering large opportunity is gaming. About eighty percent of App Store and Google Play revenue is currently coming from games.

Swedish mobile developers have a lot to offer the U.S. At this seminar, speakers from Business Sweden USA will discuss the trends and business opportunities within the U.S. mobile application market and venture capital landscape and share experiences and best practices from working with hundreds of small and medium-sized Swedish companies entering the U.S. market every year. This seminar is an ideal occasion to learn more on how to take advantage of the rapidly growth while networking with other Swedish mobile technology companies.

Business Sweden will look into attendees’ specific questions to discuss at the seminar. They could be, for example, about costs for starting a U.S. office or recruiting a sales manager, or about local rules and regulations around a specific issue.

The purpose of the seminar is to promote Swedish solutions and facilitate business and opinion leader contacts across Sweden and the U.S. A secondary purpose is for Swedish providers to better understand the characteristics of the American mobile market.

Registration required by October 28. Space is limited. Please register here.
