01 Dec - 02 Dec Lagos, Nigeria

Swedish energy delegation to Nigeria

Business Sweden, in collaboration with the Embassy of Sweden in Abuja and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, invites you to participate in an Energy conference. The conference aims to share knowledge, as well as to build new long-term relationships and strengthen current partnerships.

Nigeria is facing an extensive upgrade and rehabilitation of its entire energy sector starting from the privatization of its generation and distribution to its transmission sector. Although the majority of the energy supplies come from individually financed diesel generators; the aim is to move towards more sustainable generation. Another goal is to increase grid access to electricity from today’s coverage of only 56% of the population to 75% by 2020.

Swedish industry offers cutting-edge know-how in fields of construction, maintenance and operations within the energy sector. Swedish companies have a long tradition of supporting Africa in the power generation, transmission and distribution. The objective of the delegation is to position the Swedish companies in the modernization of the Nigerian energy sector.
