A great interest for Swedish solutions at Italy’s largest environmental fair - Ecomondo
Ecomondo is Italy's largest environmental fair with more than 100 000 visitors and a total of 1200 exhibiting companies. For the Swedish companies this means an opportunity to network and show their products and services within a forum where focus is on innovation, clean technologies and a new approach to urbanization and social contexts. Considering the companies that do not have an Italian agent/partner, Business Sweden offers assistance and representation.
That Sweden is a pioneer within the environmental sector became evident during the Ecomondo Fair in Rimini between the 5th-8th of November. Ten Swedish companies – Alfa Laval, Atlas Copco, Flexus, Götaverken Miljö Scandinavian Enviro Systems, SKF, Smart Recycling, Stena, Tetra Pak and Volvo Trucks - were present in the Swedish stand and a great interest was shown for the Swedish business' solutions and development of environmentally friendly products.
-The concept for us as a supplier works very smoothly and saves us resources in terms of money and time, much thanks to the professionalism of the Business Sweden staff. If you are unsure of the market's potential but still want to attend at a reasonable cost I can really recommend this says Per Lindgren from Götaverken
Sweden as an important actor
Business Sweden was present for the eighth consecutive year and our stand has become a well-recognized part of the exhibition. In collaboration with the Swedish Embassy, Business Sweden arranged an Absolutely Swedish Cocktail in the Swedish stand – an event that generated a great interest from both media and professionals. With an initial greeting from the Swedish Ambassador in Italy, Robert Rydberg the day continued with the guests being able to enjoy Swedish delicacies, Swedish beer and interesting conversations.
Among other things, we could see Flexus Balasystem show a full scale round bale in the stand and present their round baling technique (a patented technique which compresses large amounts of waste into far more compact, airtight and odorless bales). The Swedish companies were met by a positive response from the visitors who showed a great interest for the Swedish stand.
-Italy is an interesting market for Flexus. Thanks to Business Sweden and Ecomondo, we can easily show and reach interested parties on the Italian market says Peter Svensson, Sales Manager at Flexus.
- Sweden has a strong tradition of innovation and sub supplying the Environmental sector in Italy. Swedish companies are often at the forefront when it comes to innovations and solutions and I am proud to say that we continue showcasing that every year at Ecomondo. We have a perfect mix in the stand between larger Swedish companies and smaller upcoming ones with really interesting solution. We already look forward to next year’s edition says Marcus Persson, Project Manager at Business Sweden.
